Programs

Art – In the Art Program the boys and girls study the work of established artists. They learn to create their own masterpieces and explore the artist’s life and culture. Students look at examples of the artist’s work and experiment with different art mediums. They create their own work of art in the style of the artist they have studied. We display the creations in our children’s art gallery.

Science – Our Science Program focuses on “Natural Sciences.” Tarleton School’s science program allows the students to actively participate in their own learning. Children explore their world, using interactive science experiments to help them understand the world around them.

French & Spanish – Our language teachers introduce the boys and girls to the different languages through games, music, songs and stories. The children use their imaginations and travel to different parts of our world to experience French or Spanish culture and language. Our teachers send home lists of vocabulary words to encourage conversation in French and Spanish between parents and children.

Music Exploration – The Music Exploration classes encourage the children to have fun with music. Under the guidance of our music teacher the boys and girls are introduced to songs, rhythm and motion which helps support cognitive development as well as gross and fine motor skills. Our young students enjoy structured musical games and activities as they grow and learn the fundamentals of music within our play based program.

Creative Movement – At Tarleton School we try to play outdoors every day possible. In addition to our daily outdoor playground time, boys and girls can gather together in our large indoor playroom to learn simple organized games. Creative Movement explores athletic development and allows children to discover their own “self-space” and physical body awareness. These classes finish with a discussion on maintaining healthy habits.

Summer Science Camp – The school year is over the end of May. However, June is still a busy month at Tarleton. “Teddy Bear Time,” the Summer Science Program is in full swing! Tarleton’s “Teddy Bear Time” is full of summer fun. We learn many new things. We also play with water tables, play games, do crafts, sing songs, and play with friends. Tarleton offers four weeks of Summer Science from the end of May through the middle of June.

This is an opportunity for your child to attend five mornings a week. You can choose to send your child all four weeks or whichever weeks fit into your schedule.

What Our Parents are Saying
“Knowing our children are in the finest care each day learning languages, exploring art, science, music and friendships, especially in the pandemic, we feel incredibly lucky to have Tarleton School! The teachers truly love the kids and are artists in their own right.  It is hard not to hang every single beautiful piece of art brought home, and our kindergartener is reading and writing.  Thank you, Tarleton!”
