The 2017-2018 school year has started with some exciting events!
First, we welcomed all of our Tarleton friends to open the brand new school playground, with a ribbon cutting ceremony by alumni Senator Warren Kampf & Barbara Smith, our school director. The children had a blast on the new equipment and reconnecting with their school friends after a long summer!
The students have all been very busy in their classrooms and are off to a wonderful start!
Also this month, the TPA hosted the Back to School Cocktail Party at Tarleton. With a delicious spread of food, and plenty to drink, the parents all enjoyed a nice evening out socializing with their Tarleton friends, and staff.
We look forward to the infamous Tarleton Halloween Parade & our TPA Fall Festival next month!
The Tarleton school year has ended, but many of our friends continue through the month of June for our Tarleton Camp Program. Here, the children enjoy many special science & art projects, water table, cooking & more fun themed activities.
Tarleton’s Annual TPA Fundraiser event was held this year at the Radnor Hunt Club, perfect for the night’s Derby inspired theme, “Run for the Roses!” The auction was a huge success, generating over $25,000 for the Tarleton School & its students through the many incredible live & silent auction items, and of course the class projects, class photo’s and raffles.
Thank you to our auction leads, Sarah Beres & Amanda Holmes, and their entire committee for all of their hard work and dedication in making this years event so special.
Tarleton families gathered together last Sunday at the Busy Bees Art Center in Frazer, for a few hours of open studio time, pizza & snacks. The children all enjoyed painting their own pottery selections & spending some time with each other outside of school. Thank you to everyone who came!
On Saturday, November 7th, we gathered at Sugartown Strawberries for a hayride and bonfire. The children had a blast roasting hot dogs, making s’mores and playing as the sun set over the fields. Thank you to all the families who joined us!
This year’s annual Fall Family Festival was a bit chilly, but so much fun! With pony rides, the moon bounce, playgrounds and face painting, delicious food and the amazing bake sale, it was a great day at Tarleton!
What Our Parents are Saying
In addition to a solid curriculum, the students at Tarleton are exposed to the arts and sciences in a fun and creative way. For our children, Tarleton School sparked a passion for learning that they have carried forward.
My favorite thing I learned at Tarleton was French and Spanish. If I hadn’t learned French at Tarleton, I would never have known about French because they don’t teach French yet at my school.
Former student K.L.
The small classes at Tarleton Day School were perfect for our daughter’s early education. Her teachers knew her well and she formed nice friendships with her classmates.
The teachers at Tarleton School are experienced, reliable, and kind. I always felt that my son’s well being was their highest priority when it came to his learning, behavior, and overall happiness.
Tarleton provided the personalized attention that has allowed our daughter to flourish as a student and as an individual. As a three year old, she was welcomed into a nurturing, fun environment that left with her a sincere love for her school. Over each of the four years she enjoyed at Tarleton we saw her successfully take on new challenges with the support of committed and caring faculty. She graduated from Tarleton well prepared for her future and most importantly, with a genuine love of learning and the self-confidence needed to excel in her academic career.
